Football is about to meet fashion again, via the second Vogue in the Village fundraiser for Keilor Football Club.

Lyndall Blackmore and friends Jody Morris and Lisa Taylor organised the first ‘vogue’ event last year, helping raise about $10,000 for the club.

Ms Blackmore is hoping this year’s event will be just as popular.

“Hopefully, the hard work will pay off and … the club will benefit from it.”

The big night on Wednesday, June 24, will include a fashion parade showcasing outfits from local boutiques. The ladies behind the footballers – including mums, girlfriends, wives and sisters – will strut their stuff on the catwalk.

The footballers, too, will do their bit – minus the fashion – as shirtless waiters.

Anyone wanting a selfie with the lads will also need to make a donation to support the senior team’s end-of-year trip.

Taleisha Lanzano and Kane Barbuto (pictured) have already started preparing for the big night, which will offer champagne on arrival, a light supper, goodie bags and entertainment. Auctions and raffles will also help raise money.

Ms Blackmore says the football club welcomes women and families, and she’s encouraging everyone to come along.

Vogue in the Village is from 7.30pm at the Keilor Football clubrooms.

Tickets are $40.
